OVERVIEW
KNYTEC LLC sells AI-ready computer systems and provides AI deployment, setup, training, and automation services. Because our products are configured specifically for each buyer and our services involve non-recoverable labor and hardware costs, our refund policy is structured accordingly. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing.
PART 1 — HARDWARE / PRODUCT ORDERS
1.1 All Sales Final
All computer hardware and equipment sales are final. Once an order has been placed and payment has been received, no refunds will be issued for the hardware portion of your purchase, except as specifically provided in Sections 1.2 and 1.3 below.
1.2 Damaged in Transit
If your order arrives visibly damaged in transit, you must:
- Document the damage with photographs at the time of delivery
- Notify KNYTEC within 48 hours of delivery by emailing support@knytec.com with your order number and photos
KNYTEC will work with you to file a carrier claim and arrange a replacement or repair. Damage claims submitted after 48 hours of delivery will not be accepted.
1.3 Dead on Arrival (DOA)
If your device fails to power on or is otherwise non-functional upon first use (Dead on Arrival), you must notify KNYTEC within 10 business days of delivery. To initiate a DOA claim:
- Email support@knytec.com with your order number and a description of the issue
- KNYTEC will provide instructions for return shipping (KNYTEC covers return shipping costs for confirmed DOA units)
- Upon receipt and verification of the defect, KNYTEC will issue a replacement unit or a full refund of the purchase price at KNYTEC's discretion
DOA claims submitted more than 10 business days after delivery will not be accepted.
1.4 California Implied Warranty Rights
If you are a California consumer purchasing a new product, California's Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (Civil Code Sections 1790-1795.8) provides you with implied warranty protections that cannot be disclaimed. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under California's implied warranty of merchantability or fitness. If a product defect covered by implied warranty arises, please contact us at support@knytec.com.
1.5 Manufacturer Warranty
Hardware sold by KNYTEC may carry a manufacturer's warranty separate from KNYTEC's return policy. Please refer to the documentation included with your device for manufacturer warranty terms and contact information. KNYTEC does not administer or make representations about third-party manufacturer warranties.
1.6 What Is Not Covered
The following are not covered by any KNYTEC return, replacement, or refund:
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, liquid contact, unauthorized modifications, or improper handling after delivery
- Normal wear and tear
- Software issues unrelated to hardware defects
- Dissatisfaction with third-party software, platforms, or services (including Anthropic's Claude)
- Buyer's remorse or change of mind after delivery
PART 2 — SERVICE FEES
2.1 Cancellation Policy
The following refund schedule applies to KNYTEC service fees. Hardware costs (if any) are governed by Part 1 and are not refundable under this schedule.
- More than 72 hours before scheduled service date: Full refund of service fee
- 24 to 72 hours before scheduled service date: 50% refund of service fee
- Less than 24 hours before scheduled service date: No refund
- No-show or client unavailability on the service date: No refund
2.2 Rescheduling
You may reschedule your appointment one (1) time without penalty, provided you give at least 48 hours' notice before the scheduled service date. Additional reschedules are subject to a $50 rescheduling fee.
2.3 Post-Service — No Refunds
Once service has been delivered — meaning the setup, installation, or training session has been completed — no refund will be issued for the service fee. If you have concerns about the quality of service delivered, please raise them during your 30-day post-service support period by contacting support@knytec.com.
2.4 Hardware Ordered as Part of a Service Package
If your service package involved the ordering of hardware or equipment on your behalf, the hardware cost is non-refundable once the order has been placed, regardless of whether the service was subsequently completed or canceled. This applies even if the service fee itself is eligible for a partial or full refund under the cancellation schedule above.
PART 3 — ANTHROPIC SUBSCRIPTION
KNYTEC does not purchase, manage, or control your Anthropic account or subscription. Clients are solely responsible for their own Anthropic subscription (Claude Pro, Teams, or applicable plan). Refunds for Anthropic subscription fees must be requested directly from Anthropic. Changes to Anthropic's pricing, features, or availability do not entitle you to a refund of amounts paid to KNYTEC.
PART 4 — HOW TO REQUEST A REFUND OR FILE A CLAIM

PART 5 — CALIFORNIA LAW
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any rights you have under California law, including under the Consumers Legal Remedies Act (Civil Code Section 1770), the Unfair Competition Law (Business & Professions Code Section 17200), or the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, in the event of fraud, material misrepresentation, or a product defect covered by implied warranty.
Pursuant to California Business and Professions Code Section 17537.5, this refund policy is disclosed to you before purchase. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
